Prior to commencing the final phase of its development at Carterton, in Oxfordshire, David Wilson Homes was required by West Oxfordshire District Council planners to secure the development of a care home for the elderly.
The company contacted Castleoak in March 2006, and the parties entered into a subject to planning contract. In June 2006 an application was submitted, and planning permission was secured in less than six weeks for a 68 bed care home over three storeys.
Completion of the purchase took place in December 2006, and Castleoak started on site in June 2007, with long established client, MHA Care Group, as the agreed care provider.
