Castleoak Timber Frame
This new operation came into being in 2008.
Its fundamental purpose is to provide security and control over timber frame manufacture and supply and cost, which is one of the most critical elements of CCP´s production process.
The business operates on a solus arrangement with CCP. It has no remit to trade with other construction companies and its initial target is to provide approximately 50% of CCP´s requirement, with the remainder continuing to come from established partners.
The group has the experience of setting up and operating a timber frame company. Alpha Timber Frame Limited was set up in the mid l990´s and operated for approximately 3 years, before being sold.
The creation of Castleoak Timber Frame (CTF) has been supported by a grant from the Welsh Assembly Government with 13 new staff based at a 46,000 sq ft factory in Ebbw Vale. A three-strong timber frame design team is based at a dedicated design office in Malvern, Gloucestershire. Castleoak has been using the platform timber frame method of construction since l987 and all our projects around the UK in care home and supported housing accommodation use timber frame.
