Castleoak Corporate Environmental Policy

Castleoak is a long-established and respected provider of construction design, manufacture and build services to the social care sector. Castleoak has a clear intent to become the most respected company in our field – placing excellence and partnership at the heart of all we do.

Castleoak respects the natural and built environment in which it operates and is committed to adopting a responsible attitude to the environment. Castleoak recognises good environmental practice is a key requirement of business activity now and for the future.

As a result it is the aim of Castleoak to achieve environmental excellence through the implementation of BS8555 and Green Dragon. All significant environmental impacts of operations are assessed and objectives and targets set and reviewed periodically to promote the continual improvement of our environmental performance.

In respect of this, Castleoak will:

  • Comply with all applicable legislation and regulations. In addition, adhere to codes of practice relevant to the company

  • Be committed to the concept of pollution prevention and reduce impacts of the company’s operations on the environment and local community

  • Ensure sustainable design and construction schemes are put into practice on all projects and that environmental issues are considered and incorporated throughout development

  • Raise client, supply chain and staff awareness of environmental issues and environmental performance through learning, communication and awareness

  • Ensure the efficient and responsible use of energy, water and other natural resources through aspects of its and any supply chain operational activity

  • Reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill by seeking to reduce, reuse and recycle where possible and ensure the safe removal of resources at all times

  • Adhere to the Castleoak Compass and encourage all aspects of the business to report and act on energy, resources and fuel consumption issues

This Environmental Policy is issued to all employees and made available to interested parties upon request. It is reviewed annually to ensure that it fully represents the culture, activities and aims of Castleoak.
