Our latest two handovers see us completing the last of three nursing homes in East Sussex and the second of two extra care schemes in Luton.
At St George’s Park, Ditchling Common, near Burgess Hill, East Sussex, we completed St Clare’s, the third of three 60-bedroom care homes at the site, which is set within an area of outstanding natural beauty. We had already handed over St Mary’s and St Rita’s, which are now occupied, to client, Augustinian Care.
Jill Jenkins Court at Farley Hill in Luton is the second extra care scheme we have completed this year for longstanding customer, bpha. Designed to the EcoHomes standard, it comprises 60 one- and two-bed extra care apartments plus a daycare centre for local older people with dementia. Communal facilities include a hair salon, shop, dining room, lounges and a courtyard garden. Funding for the scheme comes from Luton Borough Council, bpha, the Housing Corporation and Supporting People as with the first extra care project we delivered for bpha, Betty Dodd Court, which was handed over in July.
