12.06.2008 First handover to Richmond Villages, second underway
We were delighted to recently hand over a New England-style care village scheme at Grange Park, Northampton to our client, Richmond Villages, on time and on budget.
The £15 million project involved a two-year programme to deliver the luxury retirement village which comprises 51 one and two-bedroom apartments, 42 care suites, 34 care beds and communal facilities including a restaurant, hairdressing salon, lounges, a shop, a café, an arts and craft room, an IT room and a library.
In the meantime, our site team at Letcombe Regis, Oxfordshire, where we are building a second project for the same client, has welcomed Richmond’s Chief Executive, Keith Cockell, and Development Director, James Cobb, to see the timber frame structures going up. Letcombe Regis Care Village is our largest project to date, at £30 million, and comprises 73 apartments built over two storeys, a 30-bed care home, 74 care suites and communal areas including a library, a café, a therapy room and a wellness centre including a swimming pool.
Castleoak’s Customer Partnerships Director, Simon Greenstreet, says the company’s relationship with Richmond Villages is based on collaboration and delivery.
“Together with our customers, we work very hard in the feasibility and planning stages to make sure when we get to site we can deliver on time, on budget,” he said.
“This practical partnership approach underpins everything we do. The net result is a fantastic retirement village at Grange Park and the opportunity to extend our relationship with this very important client through the development at Letcombe which will be fully completed in mid-2010.”
