We have been presented with a silver award at the first ever NHBC Health & Safety awards which took place in Birmingham last Friday, 21st May.
Our performance across all our sites is monitored by NHBC under its Health & Safety Audit and Accreditation Scheme through three-weekly checks (weekly on larger sites) to help manage, monitor and control health and safety during construction. The award followed an additional, two-day, in-depth company audit.
According to NHBC, the standard of entries was “extremely high” and all commended companies are to be “congratulated (for demonstrating) their commitment to excellence in health and safety processes and procedures, both at head office and on sites”. The independent judging panel included Philip White, Chief Inspector for Construction at the Health and Safety Executive and Kevin Fear, Head of Health and Safety Strategy at Construction Skills, and the event was hosted by Ben Fogle.
