HRH The Duke of Gloucester opens Hartfields
HRH The Duke of Gloucester has visited Hartfields Retirement Village to officially declare it open.
Hartfields, where Castleoak is on site until February 2009, is an extra care retirement village of 242 apartments and cottages and communal areas including a hair salon, spa pool, coffee shop, kitchen and restaurant. The project is a partnership between the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, Hartlepool Council, Hartlepool Primary Care Trust and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trust.
The Duke toured the Village, met residents, had lunch and then unveiled a plaque to declare the development open.
