Roger Hoad, Non-Executive Director
Roger was Chief Executive of Newport-based, Charter Housing Association or, as it has subsequently become known, Seren Group, for over 26 years prior to his retirement in 2004. He is very experienced in the management of organisational growth having seen the association grow during his time at the helm from just five to over 400 staff and from 80 to 4500 properties.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and was Chair of the Welsh Federation of Housing Associations for two years. He also established a national fundraising campaign for relief work in the developing world which has raised over £1 million since its creation.
Roger’s experience in the fields of social housing and corporate governance provide a very valuable support to Castleoak’s executive team.
