Juniper House finalist in 2013 Sustain Magazine Awards

Juniper House, Brackley – the UK’s first Passivhaus care home - has been shortlisted in both the Development and the Construction categories of the Sustain Magazine Awards 2013, organised in association with Marshalls.

Juniper House was handed over to leading care operator, Barchester Healthcare earlier this year.  It was backed by Bridges Sustainable Property Fund, the Carless & Adams Partnership were the architects, and BRE Wales were the Passivhaus engineers.

The Awards celebrate standout achievements and successes in the field of sustainability and will be presented at a ceremony on Tuesday 5th March at the Guoman Hotel overlooking the River Thames and Tower Bridge in London.

Steve Oxley, Editor of Sustain Magazine said: “Now in their fifth year, the Sustain Magazine Awards 2013 have seen an extremely high-calibre of entrants demonstrating best practice in sustainability across the built environment spectrum. It is an amazing achievement for Castleoak’s Juniper House project to be shortlisted in the face of such strong competition. We are thrilled to be able to host the awards ceremony that recognises the hard work and commitment of those companies and organisations achieving such high levels of excellence.”
