Construction site in Castleton selected for pioneering research project
Castleton construction site

Our care home construction site for Barchester Healthcare in Castleton, on the outskirts of Cardiff, is one of only four sites in Wales to be selected to participate in a pioneering research project intended to put Wales at the forefront of global efforts to reduce construction waste.

The Constructing Excellence in Wales ‘Enabling Zero Waste’ project is working with our construction team to identify ways that construction and demolition projects can generate less waste, reuse materials and use more recycled content.

The aim is to establish if, and how, the construction industry can achieve the overarching strategy for waste in Wales of zero waste to landfill.
