Castleoak has been appointed to build a £25 million retirement and care village in Windsor for new customer Castle Retirement Living.
This is Castleoak's most ambitious assisted living design and build contract to-date.
Castleoak will deliver 58 one, two and three-bed assisted living apartments for sale. In addition, an adjacent 72-bed high quality care home will be built.
The assisted living apartments will offer people over 55 years the best in retirement living.
Home owner facilities will include a roof terrace with spectacular views of Windsor Castle, coffee shop, restaurant, bar plus a secure underground car park.
"We chose to partner with Castleoak for their retirement living and care sector specialism" said Robin Hughes, Chief Executive at Castle Retirement Living.
"Castleoak has a strong track record of delivering high quality, retirement living and care schemes. We’ve collaborated to create what I think will be one of the most innovative urban retirement villages in the UK. We’ve created a formidable partnership. Given its prominence, scale and proximity to Windsor town centre, we have appointed an excellent strategic partner in Castleoak" he added.
"This ambitious project exemplifies Castleoak’s specialist design and build offering" said Craig Currie, Chief Executive at Castleoak. "We have partnered with Castle Retirement Living from the inception of this project, and have provided specialist design, build and operational advice to refine the specification. We’re now ready to begin the build."
Ground preparation work for the project began in August with construction due to start in October 2016. The project is due to complete in Autumn 2018.
